Before assembly
Congratulations on your new delivery! Before you start setting up or hiring fitters and electricians, it is important that you thoroughly check the individual parts of your delivery. Here are some steps to help you ensure the completeness and integrity of your items:
- Find a well-lit, clean and above all dry area to unpack the delivery. This gives you enough space to spread out and inspect all the parts. The enclosed parts list is your most important companion. It lists all the items that should be included in your delivery.
- Record all missing or damaged parts in writing and, if necessary, make any changes. Pictures. This information is important in case you need to file a claim.
- As soon as you have finished testing, you are welcome to start setting up or appointing fitters/electricians, etc.
Wood must not be exposed to direct sunlight or persistent moisture before or during installation.
If waterlogging occurs or if there is not sufficient ventilation of this product, e.g. due to plants, walls, etc., it can lead to blue stains, mold and fungal infestation. Blue stain is only a visual impairment.
For plantings from a height of 10 cm, a minimum distance of 2 m must be maintained around our houses. This serves to ensure sufficient ventilation of the walls. If wood is exposed to the sun outdoors, it can cause discoloration or even graying.
Good ventilation and the avoidance of waterlogging is still the best protection against rot!
About our material
You have purchased a product for which we mainly process spruce wood from the forests of Northern Europe. Because the spruce grows more slowly there and therefore forms fine annual rings, it is more resistant.
Our material is pure nature. Wood has the property of absorbing and releasing moisture and therefore adapts optimally to the given weather conditions. It lives and works in the different weather conditions, despite technical drying and correct wood protection, especially in the first season.
When there is a lot of humidity, it expands – the walls will "grow" by a few centimeters to settle again when it is dry. Thus, warping of boards and planks, leakage of resin and cracking can never be completely ruled out. Likewise, the different knot pattern and loosening knots are typical of solid wood and cannot be changed.
