This is how easy it is to install a 230V sauna yourself at your home

A 230V sauna is ideal if you want to set up an extremely uncomplicated wellness temple in your house or apartment. These so-called plug & play indoor home saunas are space-saving, affordable and score with manageable energy consumption.

Powered by regular mains electricity, the plug-in models with 3.6 kW stove offer you relaxing sauna enjoyment in your own four walls. The special advantage for you: You can install a 230V sauna safely and conveniently yourself - in four simple steps.

1

Installing the oven and control unit

Specify the location where you want to attach the 3.6 kW oven and the control unit. You can do this individually always taking into account the cable length. Mount both in the selected position.

2

Doing the wiring

As soon as the stove and the control unit are mounted, you connect them via the plug connection. Now lay the cables in the wall of your 230V sauna.

3

Installing the temperature sensor

Take a drill and drill a hole in the sauna ceiling, through which you insert the cable of the temperature sensor. Then attach it to the inside of the sauna blanket.

4

Connect the 230V sauna to the electricity

Now all you have to do is plug the power supply of the control unit into a socket. And you've installed your Plug & Play indoor sauna properly yourself – quickly, safely and without an electrician.

This is how easy it is to install a 230V sauna yourself at your home

  1. Discover 230V saunas

Take a look at our selection of plug & play saunas with 230V and choose the model that suits your needs. In a classic Scandinavian look with all-round wood panelling or modern with a spacious glass front, as in our 230V Sauna Irava 3 ? The choice is yours. If you want to install your home feel-good place in the corner of the room, you will also find tailor-made indoor saunas to choose from.

  2. Consider sauna size

When choosing your indoor sauna with a mains connection, don't just pay attention to aesthetics. It should also be optimally tailored to your needs in terms of available space, if you want to take a sauna with several people at the same time. 230V saunas are basically compactly built so that the 3.6 kW stove can reliably heat up the room. You can read the exact number of seats on the product detail page.

  3. Fine-tune subtleties

On the article page of your Plug & Play sauna you will find various options to adapt your home wellness oasis even better to your wishes. Depending on the model, you can choose between an insulated energy-saving door made of wood or a clear, bronzed or graphite-coloured all-glass door. In addition to these product-specific options, you can choose the Choose a sauna heater .

  4. Choose a stove

Saunas with a 230V connection are operated with a plug-in 3.6 kW stove. We offer you this in three different versions so that you can adapt the heart of your home feel-good place to your preferences. Choose between a 3.6 kW oven with integrated or external control. Both variants create a dry climate. If you want to switch flexibly between dry and steamy heat, you should choose the 3.6 kW BIO combi oven.

  5. Complete the sauna

The right accessories round off your easy-to-connect indoor sauna perfectly. These include sauna-compatible silicone cables , to which you connect the controller and the sauna heater. An atmospheric Sauna lighting and many more additions are listed on the item page, so you can easily add them to your order. Tip: If you are looking for a practical starter package, we recommend our multi-part Sauna accessories set with infusion bucket, thermometer and more.

What you should know about caring for your 230V sauna

You can rely on the longevity of your high-quality home sauna, because we have manufactured it with care and know-how. However, regular care is also important to ensure that it remains as beautiful and cosy as on the first day for a long time. Only use cleaning and care products that are specifically suitable for this area of application.

Your indoor sauna with plug & play stove is protected from the weather, making it easier to maintain than a Garden sauna . Just ventilate them well after each sauna session and wipe down the stove. Every few weeks (depending on the frequency of use of the sauna), you should thoroughly clean the interior, mopping the backrests, benches and floor. This prevents the proliferation of fungi and bacteria.

Detailed tips on cleaning the interior as well as suitable cleaning agents and utensils can be found in our Guide to proper sauna care.
