In this guide, we compare both models and help you find the optimal sauna heater for your home.

Basically, you have the choice between two popular types of stove:

  • the Finnish sauna heater with traditional dry heat
  • the Organic combi oven with integrated steam option for flexible sauna climate

Both types of heater offer advantages – depending on how you want to take a sauna. We will show you the differences and help you decide.

Finnish sauna heater – classic sauna experience for your home sauna

A Finnish sauna heater for home creates the typical, intense Finnish sauna climate with high temperatures between 80 and 100 °C and low humidity. This form of sauna heating is ideal for purists who want to enjoy the original sauna feeling.

Advantages of the Finnish sauna heater:

  • Intense dry heat for effective sweating
  • Strengthens the immune system and cleanses the skin
  • Easy to use – without additional functions
  • Ideal for purists and lovers of the classic sauna experience

The traditional infusion ritual with hot sauna stones is of course part of it and provides soothing, invigorating moments.

Ours Finnish sauna heaters are available in the common power levels:

  • 3.6 kW sauna heater – ideal for compact home saunas with up to 5.5m 3
  • 9 kW sauna heater – for larger sauna cabins or outdoor areas

Control of Finnish sauna heaters

Our Finnish sauna heaters are available either with an integrated control system or with an external control unit – depending on your wishes and installation situation.

Integrated control:

In models with integrated controls, controls are attached directly to the sauna heater. Temperature and time can be easily and conveniently set on the device itself - ideal for compact home saunas with short cable paths and easy operation.

Please note : Since this is a mechanical control system, a quiet ticking noise can be heard during operation – comparable to a timer. This is due to technical reasons and is completely harmless.

Advantages of the integrated control system:

  • No additional control unit required
  • Direct operation at the furnace
  • Fast commissioning

External control:

In variants with external control, the control panel is located outside the sauna cabin – usually mounted on the wall. This allows temperature, time, light and other functions to be controlled centrally and conveniently. Particularly practical for larger cabins or when more control and overview are desired.

Advantages of external control:

  • Clear control panel outside the sauna
  • Maximum operating comfort outside the hot cab
  • Integrated lighting control for sauna lighting

V Advantages of external control for bio-combi stoves:

  • Precise control of temperature and humidity
  • Separate control for evaporator and dry sauna
  • Maximum operating comfort outside the hot cab
  • Ideal for individual sauna experiences and changing climate wishes

Which sauna heater is the right one? – Our conclusion as a decision-making aid

Whether you choose a Finnish sauna heater or a modern bio combi heater depends primarily on your personal preferences and requirements.

If you prefer the classic sauna experience with intense, dry heat, a Finnish sauna heater is the right choice. The high temperatures between 80 and 100 degrees Celsius ensure intense sweating, strengthen the immune system and convey the original feeling of a traditional sauna session.

If, on the other hand, you want more flexibility and different climate zones in your home sauna, a bio combi heater offers clear advantages. Thanks to its integrated evaporator, it not only enables the classic Finnish sauna climate of 80-100°C, but also mild, humid sauna sessions with temperatures between 40 and 60 degrees Celsius and humidity of up to 55%. This makes this type of heater particularly suitable for families, people with more sensitive circulation or anyone who would like to use their sauna for aromatherapy or herbal baths.

Both types of sauna heaters are available in different power levels – typically with 3.6 kW for compact cabins and 9 kW for larger sauna rooms or outdoor areas. Whether traditional or modern, dry or damp: With the right sauna heater, you can create the ideal basis for your individual wellness experience at home.
