Sauna bathing promotes physical relaxation as well as mental well-being. Sports activities should ideally always precede sauna bathing. If you do sports that put a lot of strain on the circulation, please wait until your pulse rate has returned to normal. Hearty meals, alcohol and tests of strength are not part of the sauna bath! Sauna bathing also causes a quite thorough, but also gentle body cleansing. Due to the circulation-promoting effect, the regular sweat bath also serves skin care and slows down skin aging.
Try something new: For example, rub your skin with soothing honey. Or try it according to old tradition with a birch tassel, even if it seems strange to some for the first time, you will feel like you have created something new afterwards.
If you have an organic sauna heater, then use Mediterranean herbs such as rosemary, thyme or lavender in summer and a salt scrub on a mild thunderstorm night.
