Sauna setup

Sauna kit assembly

You can assemble a kit or DIY sauna easily and inexpensively with a little manual skill. From the wooden parts milled to measure to windows and doors to the hinges, all the necessary materials are included. Tip: Build the Sauna in pairs, as the parts can be bulky. A Karibu sauna can be set up in a maximum of five hours.

How to set up a sauna in fifteen steps: How it works

1. Unpack and check

In the first step, unpack your dream sauna from Karibu. Now you have to check the individual parts for possible damage. Compare the completeness of your sauna using the parts list in the package. In the next steps, follow the assembly instructions exactly. Then the assembly will be done in no time at all!

2. Assemble the base frame

The base frame must be mounted horizontally on a stable surface. For this purpose, the frame is screwed into the corners. As a substrate, we recommend a material that does not borrow the heat. This is ensured, for example, by tiles.

3. Attach walls

Next, the walls are mounted depending on the construction system. In a prefabricated construction method, the wall elements are placed on the base frame and screwed together. The planks of the Solid wood sauna are inserted into each other and screwed to the corner strips. In the case of a System sauna the finished wall elements are put on top of each other and screwed together at the corners.

4. Screw the corner post together

The corners are screwed together with the help of strips.

5. Continue assembling walls

Also screw the remaining walls together in this way and put them together.

6. Bolt the ceiling frame together

Like the base frame, the ceiling frame must also be screwed to the corners.

7. Put on the ceiling frame

Now put the ceiling frame on the walls and attach it.

8. Attach roof strips

To fasten and cover the ceiling frame, the roof strips are screwed on inside.

9. Stick on the sealing tape

Due to the insulation, a sealing tape is glued to the ceiling frame. This compacts possible gaps between the walls and the ceiling to keep the heat in the sauna.

10. Erect the roof

The fully assembled roof panels are placed on the ceiling frame and screwed in from below.

11. Insert the door

To prevent the heat from escaping during the sauna, the door is now inserted and screwed to the frame.

12. Furnish the interior

Now the sauna benches are mounted inside with the help of support strips.

13. Attach the stove guard

To protect you from the hot Heater , we supply our saunas with a stove protection grille.

14. Roof wreath and decorative strips

If you have purchased one of our roof crown models, now is the right time to install it. Decorative strips for embellishment can now also be attached.

15. Done!

You've done it! The sauna is up and running and can now be put into operation. Have fun in your personal wellness area with your desired sauna from Karibu.
